This coming Sunday 19th February, there is the opportunity to get out and volunteer on Warton Crag Local Nature Reserve with the Lancashire Wildlife Trust. Warton Crag is a limestone grassland and scrub habitat located just North of Carnforth. The crag is managed for people and wildlife by a number of conservation and nature charities, the Lancashire Wildlife Trust being one of them. This Sunday the Wildlife Trust are giving us the opportunity for a group of volunteers to take part in practical conservation and scrubland management up at Warton Crag. This will be a full day of volunteering, with transport provided from Lancaster University. If you are interested in taking part in this volunteer event, please let us know sending an e-mail to green@lancaster.ac.uk or calling into the Green Lancaster office to sign-up on the sheet. There are limited spaces on this trip as transport needs to be booked, so please let us know as soon as possible. The deadline for reply is Thursday 16th February at 12:00. Further details regarding the arrangements for the event will be circulated to those taking part on Thursday afternoon.
Look forward to hearing from some of you soon!
